Jeremy pursued research in Australia where he conducted audits and developed recommendations on sustainable resource management for business and education operations at Byron Region Community College. The result was a 40+ page paper and a presentation to the college's board of directors on energy, waste and water practices with a major focus on the performance of the college's rooftop solar array and net-energy balance.

Working for Ithaca College's Resource and Environmental Management Program has consisted of outreach and education for the campus on recycling, composting, and reuse programs. Similarly, worked as an Outreach Assistant for the Tompkins County Solid Waste Division.

Music and music education, having performed in various groups as well as teaching music as a camp counselor for two years. At camp, Jeremy taught over 200 children how to play Ukelele as a first instrument.

Sustainability Project Assistant, Ithaca College

2012-2014

As a Sustainability Project Assistant, also known as "eco-rep," I worked on sustainability-related projects throughout campus. The four R's (reduce, reuse, recycle, rebuy), energy conservation and environmental education were major focuses of our work. Communicating ideas of sustainability to the population of a college campus was our mission. Examples of programs managed by Sustainability Project Assistants like myself include Take-it-or-Leave-it (TIOLI) and the Office Supply Collection and Reuse (OSCAR) programs which collected donations of unwanted reusable dorm and office items at the end of each semester which were then distributed for reuse free of charge to the campus community. Sustainability Project Assistants are a part of Ithaca College's Climate Action Plan.

Outreach Assistant, Tompkins County Recycling and Solid Waste Division

2013 - 2014

As an outreach assistant, my work with the Tompkins County Solid Waste Division consisted of public communication and outreach to residents of Tompkins County on matters such as composting and recycling. Recent work has included outreach and data collection for the county's curbside food scrap recycling program, which is in its second phase as of Spring 2014.

Counselor and Music Teacher, Windsor Mountain International Summer Camp

2011 - 2012

I spent two lovely summers during college at Windsor Mountain International Summer Camp in New Hampshire. As a counselor, I was responsible for 10 or so boys ages 8-13 as well as population of 200 or so other campers each session.  Working at camp provided opportunties to gain experience working wit, mentoring, and educating children of various ages and backgrounds. As a music teacher, I instructed guitar, ukelele, bass, jam band, singing, songwriting, and just about everything. I'm proud to say I taught over 200 children their first instruments those two summers.
